Acne is caused by bacteria in the skin and is a common condition amongst both teens and adults of both sexes. It is often caused by hormones, stress, medication or sometimes make up or skin care products. Our IPL acne clearance targets the blood vessels that supply the sebaceous glands, where the spot likes, which reduces the production of oil, which the spot feeds off. We can treat active acne as we destroy the bacteria that causes it, therefore reducing the acne you have and preventing more from arising. This also increases the production of collagen, boosting the healing process and reducing markings on the skin.

A minimum of 4 sessions spaced 3-4 weeks apart are required. Further ‘booster’ sessions may be required depending on how well you take to the treatment and what the causes of your acne are. This will all be discussed with you during your patch test.
