Every single hair has its own hair follicle from which it grows, in order to permanently destroy this, controlled pulses of light are moved over the skin. The light is absorbed by the melanin in the hair and sent down into the hair shaft. The melanin turns the light energy into heat a process known as photothermolysis and is transferred to the hair follicle permanently destroying it, therefor no new hairs are able to grow.
Are you suitable for laser hair removal?
Due to our advanced super IPL machines, we can treat all skin types and all hairs. You will have a consultation to check your suitability and be given a patch test prior to your treatment to be extra cautious. If you have very sensitive skin, soothing aloe vera gel can be applied after your treatments.
Does it Hurt?
Our machines in our Liverpool clinic have the latest crystal freeze cooling element which makes your treatment comfortable and pain free. It is possible for some mild redness to occur after the treatment but this subsides quickly usually within 24 hours.
