In our North West clinic, on Rodney Street, Liverpool, we provide laser tattoo and semi-permanent makeup (SPMU) removal. Our ND Yag laser system is best known to be the most effective forms of tattoo removal. It will remove tattoos entirely without just fading them. It is suitable for removing all tattoo colours, even the most difficult ones such as blue and green, and can be used on all skin types. The technology used minimises the risk of scarring to next to nothing! The laser causes the pigment particles to absorb the light energy which in turn, makes them explode rapidly and they therefore burst into tiny particles which diminishes the colour density. Your body then naturally removes the colour through the lymphatic system.

How many sessions do I need?

Typically, 6-10 sessions are required at monthly intervals, depending on how deep the tattoo is, and the colours that it includes.

How long will it take?

This depends on the size of the tattoo.

What to expect after the treatment.

It is normal for the treated area to be tender, red, raised and may possibly bleed or scab. This is a normal reaction to your body breaking down the pigment. We recommend you do not take non-steroidal anti-inflammatories such as ibuprofen post procedure, as this will inhibit the breaking down of the ink. You should not expose the treated area to direct sunlight whilst healing. The treatment may cause a stinging sensation and minor discomfort, which will subside once the treatment has been completed. Typically, clients say that each session is less painful than the last. This is because there is less pigment to break down as the tattoo fades.
